Attending Honoring the Animals
If you live in or near Louisville, Kentucky and would like to join us for this year's Honoring the Animals Candlelight Vigil, please use the form below to RSVP. This will help us to better plan the event and make sure we can accommodate everyone and insure that you get a program. You will also receive updates, reminders and other important information regarding the event.
Honoring the Animals Candlelight Vigil will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodbourne Ave, located on the eastern side of Bardstown Road between Eastern Parkway and Taylorsville Road at the corner of Woodbourne and Ellerbe Ave, near the Highland's Kroger and Applebee's. Our special guest is Actress Diane Gaidry.
It will include musical selections by members of the Louisville Orchestra and poetry-reading, as well as a Blessing of the Animals and moment of silence as candles are lit in memory of our beloved animal friends. This event is free and those in attendance will be able to have their pet's name read out loud.
NOTE: Companion animals on leashes are welcome to attend the event. Candles for the vigil will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own special candle if you like. Light o'horderves and refreshments will be served while we allow time for Ms. Gaidry to sign copies of her DVD, The DogWalker, prior to starting.
