About Honoring the Animals
The International Association of Pet Cemeteries (IAPC) has designated the second Sunday in September as National Pet Memorial Day. Most pet cemeteries observe this day with special ceremonies, open houses, and other events. Honoring the Animals is a candlelight vigil that is held in observance of this day. This annual event is presented by Chance's Spot, Pet Loss and Support Resources, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists pet caregivers and professionals with pet loss and grief.
Chance's Spot Welcomes Actress Diane Gaidry to HTA 2010!
This year's Honoring the Animals Candlelight Vigil will be the best ever as Chance's Spot welcomes actress Diane Gaidry as our very special guest. If you would like to attend The Dogwalker, you will need to purchase advance tickets.

The 2007 Honoring the Animals Online Album
Although it was our first year, we had a wonderful turnout in spite of bad weather earlier in the day. In 2008 however, we were not as lucky. Hurricane Ike struck and HTA 2008 was canceled. Please enable popups and view the 2007 album here.
